About the Author:
Lindsay J. Pryor is a British Paranormal Romance author who writes dark, intense stories set in the dystopian world of Blackthorn.
Her trademark powerful vampire heroes and utterly combustible sensual romances have earned Lindsay comparisons with both J.R Ward and Sherrilyn Kenyon.A finalist in Mills & Boon’s New Voices competition in both 2010 and 2011, Lindsay has already proved a smash hit with readers.
Comments like “Utterly captivating”, “Jaw-droppingly good”, “Awesome”, “I forgot to blink”, “The sexual tension is off the charts”, “I nearly fainted when he removed her belt”, “I drooled on my keyboard” and even “Tell Kane he can have my soul RIGHT NOW!” convinced Lindsay she just might have what it took to become a published author.
With the launch of Blood Shadows, that dream is now a reality.  Her journey to published author though has been a long one.
Lindsay has been creating stories since she was nine years old, when she quickly decided that fantasy was more interesting than reality. She thought she’d grow out of it but hasn’t yet.
Despite years of bashing out stories on an old typewriter, it was the death of her father in 2007 that finally convinced Lindsay to try and become a published author.“One of the last things my dad said to me was to do what I wanted to do in life. After he passed away, I pulled out all my scribbles from over the years and got back to writing what I loved most – paranormal romance.”
If reviews are anything to go by, it was a journey well worth making.

My Review:

Wow.. Kane..fanning myself, whew, he is hot, hot, and more hot. .lol. Master Vampire Kane is a super sexy vampire, and the steam with him and Caitlin was something. I am not one to read many books with too much.. let’s just say steamy scenes. It’s just not something I am comfortable with, but this book was done well, it’s a great story, and has just some steamy parts that made me blush. This is not YA, for sure. Adults only I would say. But I was most impressed by the wonderful world the author has created in Blood Shadows. Blackthorn is a place for the vampires, and this whole world is set up with a council of sorts ruling on the 3rd species as they call them. We have the Vampires, Lycans, witches and more. It’s a great paranormal romance, which has the thriller suspense type feel to it.

It was written very well, and rather enjoyed the British way of writing, and the different spelled words just made it even that more interesting to me.

This dystopian world of Blackthorn was intense, and the story and the way the vampires are, really reminded me of Kelly Armstrong’s Night Huntress series. Kane really reminded me of Bones in that series, in his own way. Which is not a bad thing, as I love Bones, but Kane is now right up there with him.

I loved the exciting twists and turns, and all those plays on the emotions. I was on the edge of my seat, and thought I could just die from anticipating what may come next. It was thrilling for sure.

Here is a little steamy teaser for you:

She took in every curve before dragging her gaze up to his glistening shoulder. She focused on his sculpted chest, the heart within just waiting to be read. She lingered on his eyes, the dark thick lashes that lay lowered, concealing the beauty beyond. She tongued her teeth as she examined those sexy bow lips she could so easily lean over and kiss.

I don’t want to spoil anything; you just need to read this. It’s an excellent start to a new series. I am eagerly waiting on the follow up book, called Blood Roses. I bet it will be just as good as or better than Blood Shadows.
Here is how I picture Kane, so yummy except navy blue eyes: ( Theo Theodoridis is the guy in picture, Go Here for more, and where I got this one)

5 out of 5 stars. Highly recommended from this paranormal lover that I am.
