Everlasting: The Immortals Book 6 by Alyson Noël - Book Review

Everlasting (The Immortals, #6)Everlasting by Alyson Noel
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Their epic love story has captured the hearts of millions and enchanted readers across the world. In this beautiful finale, their journey draws to a spectacular conclusion—where all will be revealed.

Their darkest enemies now defeated, Damen and Ever are free to embark upon their final quest—to free Damen from the poison lingering in his body. If they can just find the antidote, they’ll finally be able to feel each other’s touch—and experience the passionate night they’ve been longing for. But their fight to be together will lead them into the most formidable terrain yet…into the dark heart of Summerland. (sumary from Book and Amazon)

I have to say I really did enjoy this book,I have been a long time reader of Alyson's, and was sad to see this series end. And it did end nicely. I have enjoyed the whole series throughout its duration. All loose ends were tied. All questions, were answered, it had a lovely end to it.

The first chapter has a very strong beginning, the reader sees Ever and Damen struggling in Summerland to find answers. What I like about this is the pacing and the plot line. The pacing was perfect. It was awesome how we got to go back to certain points in their history and re-connect with the present. It answers a whole lot of questions that I have always wondered, plus then some. It gave us a much broader history on Ever and Damen's relationship. It was really nice being able to experience those past lives with them.

It really grabbed my attention to see these past lives, i mean, the ones we get to experience in this book are like OMG moments, we get some glimpses of them in the other books, but nothing like what we get to experience in this book.

The characters really became developed in this book, not stalled out like they seemed to be in previous books, they really grew in this one. I was pleased to see that. I was able to really connect with them.

If you haven't pick up this series you most definitely should! Not only will you fall in love with it, but it will give you an everlasting read worth reading. Am I happy with the way it ended? Yes. I think Alyson, did a great job on clearing everything she needed to clear up in order to finish the series. Way to go Alyson. Nice work.

Now Alyson has a new series out, and she has also put out a free short story, called Daire Meets Ever. Its free at Amazon in Kindle. It was so nice reading that scene where the new character in Fated meets Ever. So this has me hoping that maybe Alyson will have Ever and Damen pay the characters in the New Soul Seekers series (Fated is the first) a visit from time to time. That would be amazing.

Night Star by Alyson Noël - Review

Night Star (The Immortals, #5)Night Star by Alyson Noel
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Click here to buy Night Star (Immortals)

This is one of the most exciting series of books that I’ve ever read!!!! It Kept me up late at night to read more, when I was not reading, I was dreaming of being in Ever’s world. It has hooked me.

As we all know, Haven blames Ever for Roman’s death, and is hell bent to take revenge on her for it. So she figures the best way to get back at Ever, is through Damen. If she can take out Jude on the way, all the better. She has all the ammunition she needs to fuel her rage.

We found out that Damen has been keeping one of his past lives with Ever from her. She finally finds out about it, now with this information, she really is stuck between a rock and a hard place. This secret that she learns is so dark and brutal; it just may be all it takes to drive her away from Damen, and possibly into the arms of Jude. I won’t Tell, lol. No spoiling the good stuff here.

Ever has many obstacles to overcome in this book. Does she have it in herself to doom Haven to the dark Shadowland for eternity? She will need to decide if her feelings for Damen can overcome the dark secret he has kept from her.

I feel this is one of Ever’s better journey’s so far in the series. She is growing and maturing more.

Fans of this series will be pleased in this 5th installment of the Immortals series. This latest adventure is more personal to Ever, as she struggles reach her former best friend, who she still loves as a sister and her soul mate Damen. It’s a personal, but necessary journey she must take.

I really believe fans of the Immortals series will enjoy this book. Alyson Noël does an amazing job, as usual describing everything in Ever’s world.

If you have not read the earlier books, I recommend you picking them up first. Evermore: The ImmortalsBlue Moon (The Immortals, Book 2) Shadowland (The Immortals, Book 3) Dark Flame (Immortals) then this one, number 5.

Check out Alyson Noël’s new book called Fated (Soul Seekers)its her new Soul Seekers series. You can also read a short story she put out free in ebook format called Daire Meets Ever (its where Ever meets up with Daire, the lead female in Fated)

Dark Flame by Alyson Noël - Review

Dark Flame (The Immortals, #4)Dark Flame by Alyson Noel
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Experience the extraordinary #1 New York Times bestselling series that has taken the world by storm. Enter the realm of The Immortals…(from book)

This whole series is very addictive, when I wasn't reading, I was thinking about how I could sneak away to read some more. I couldn't put it down. I even dreamt about this book, it just sucked me in further and deeper.

Ever is having a hard time, with Haven, her transition into life as an immortal is not going so well. Haven poses the ultimate threat-exposing their secret to the outside world. As Ever struggles to keep the secrect of Immortals hidden, it just propels Haven closer to the enemy—Roman and his evil companions. Haven is intoxicated on her new powers, and acts recklessly.

Ever is making her own mistakes, she delves deeper into the world of dark magick to try and free Damen from Roman’s power. But of course something goes wrong, and her spell backfires, it binds her to the enemy, the one who is hell bent on destroying her. This spell has caused a strange foreign pulse that is coursing through her, and no matter what she does, she can’t stop thinking of Roman, and longing for his touch. She struggles to resist, and of course Roman is more than willing to take advantage of her weakened state.

Ever starts to feeling desperate, needing to break the spell, and ends up turning to Jude for help, and in doing so, she risks everything, and everyone she loves, as well as her future with Damen.

This is a great fourth installment to the Immortals series.
I highly recommend this to anyone who has liked the previous books, as they get better and better.

Be sure to read the first one Evermore, then the second one Blue Moon , third Shadowland, then this one.

Desperate to break the curse and save Damen, Ever immerses her herself in magick. And in her quest, she gets help from an unexpected source...a surfer named Jude.(summary from book and Amazon)

My Review

Ever has many difficulties to face in Shadowland, the 3rd book in The Immortals series. We get introduced to some new characters in this book. We meet Jude who is a green-eyed golden boy with Magical talents and a mysterious past, who Ever is drawn too, not understanding her connection to him. It seems to grow stronger and stronger, and test her love for Damen like never before. It doesn’t help that Damen keeps pulling away to save them from the darkness inhabiting his soul. Ever makes some poor decisions in this book, but she is young, and you can’t really blame her.

Shadowland is dark, and mysterious, with many twist, and suspense. It’s a great third book to the series. I really enjoyed it. It leaves you wanting more.

I highly recommend this to anyone who has liked the previous books, as they get better and better.

Be sure to read the first one Evermore, then the second one Blue Moon , then this one.

Check out Alyson Noël’s new book called Fated, its her new Soul Seekers series. You can also read a short story she put out free in ebook format called Daire Meets Ever. (its where Ever meets up with Daire, the lead female in Fated)

Blue Moon by Alyson Noël - Review

Blue Moon (The Immortals, #2)Blue Moon by Alyson Noël
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Alyson’s Noël’s bestselling Immortals series has been hailed as “addictive” “beautiful” “haunting” and “mesmerizing.” In the second installment, Ever can bring her family back from the dead—but only if she’s willing to sacrifice the guy she loves more than life itself.

Just as Ever is learning everything she can about her new abilities as an immortal, initiated into the dark, seductive world by her beloved Damen, something terrible is happening to him. As Ever’s powers are increasing, Damen’s are fading—stricken by a mysterious illness that threatens his memory, his identity, his life. (Summary from book and Amazon)

My Review

Alyson Noël (Alyson Noel)does a great job with this sequel. She continues with her beautiful writing style, in the way she creates the world in a way you see it, like really being there yourself.

I’ll tell you, one thing, you better get ready for a wild ride that is filled with twisting paths and mystery, love and fantasy. The Immortals Series is so unique; it’s like a breath of fresh air… I was on the edge of my seat, and stayed up late at night, to get more of Ever and Damen!

Blue Moon is a book so intriguing that you won't want to put it down. It will stun you as you read on to know about Ever and her mysterious past and future. We get some answers to questions that we had in Evermore, but then more questions will come up as well.

I enjoyed the chaos playing in Ever's world as she tried to figure it all out and fight back against Roman who had some odd vendetta against her and Damen.

Make sure you read Evermore first, then this one.

I highly recommend this book, especially if you like magical worlds, with twist and turns. It will leave you wanting more.

Evermore by Alyson Noël Review

Evermore (The Immortals, #1)Evermore by Alyson Noel

Since a horrible accident claimed the lives of her family, sixteen-year-old Ever can see auras, hear people’s thoughts, and know a person’s life story by touch. Going out of her way to shield herself from human contact to suppress her abilities has branded her as a freak at her new high school—but everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste . . .

Ever sees Damen and feels an instant recognition. He is gorgeous, exotic and wealthy, and he holds many secrets. Damen is able to make things appear and disappear, he always seems to know what she’s thinking—and he’s the only one who can silence the noise and the random energy in her head. She doesn’t know who he really is—or what he is. Damen equal parts light and darkness, and he belongs to an enchanted new world where no one ever dies. (summary from Amazon and book)

My review

Alyson Noël (Alyson Noel) created a well-detailed story that makes it easy for us to visualize both the characters and the world around them, and boy is that world amazing!

I really enjoyed this book. It was a pleasant surprise, and keep me wondering WHAT Damen was. As I had no idea what the series was really about at the time. It was refreshing to not know. I only knew that he was Immortal, obviously by the title with it being Immortals series.

I really like Ever, it did take me awhile to warm to her, but I did get there. Damen, well, I love him for sure. There are so many surprises in this book, and it leaves you with many questions, so I warn you, it’s best to have the other books on hand and ready to read. If you’re starting these now, after all are out. Then it will be better for you. I had to wait between each one. I am now giving my reviews after finishing the whole series. I like the series as a whole for sure.

I recommend this book and series to anyone who likes the paranormal, and some suspense some magic. Something a little different than what is usually out there.

I do not understand the bad reviews some have given this book. It’s not a knockoff of ANYTHING else out there. I mean, it has the romance in there, that’s the ONLY thing that has a similar feel to it, and what series in YA does not have some romance. SO give it a chance. Be sure to check out Alyson Noël’s new book, called Fated. I will review it when I am done with it as well. (There is even a short story of when the main character in Fated meets Ever here it is, ebook free at Amazon Daire Meets Ever)
