My Review:

This book is very intense, with Zoey being in the Otherworld for most the book, and Stevie Rae left to deal with lots of things going on. Its a major page turner. If you have not read all the others in this series, i recommend you start with them, or you will be lost.

My Review:

This book was entertaining, and its like a continuation of book 5. It was a nice progression from one book to the next.
Zoey and friends do have alot to deal with, and some decisions are hard for her. She has to take a risk on her own life. Its a page turner for sure.

My review:

Zoey Redbird's first-person adventures take on added danger and importance in the latest House of Night release.

This time, she and her friends are trying to defeat the leader of the vampires who just happens to be their head master. Everyone else sees her as a sweet woman but not Zoey, she can see her for who she really is.

There is all kinds of action, and too many boy problems too. Its a book that will keep you up late at night.

Its a solid 5th installments of the series. If you like the series so far, then you will like this one.

My review:

This next installment of The House Of Night Series was a good solid story. Zoey goes through some rough times in this one. It makes you really feel for her. (these books are recommended for 13 and up too, FYI)

In addition to all that stress, Zoey is also dealing with the Stevie Rae/Aphrodite issue. By casting her circle for Stevie Rae, she is no longer undead, but has transformed into some kind of other vampyre. Her mark is now colored in just like the adult vamps, but it is red. But with Stevie Rae gaining her humanity back, it caused Aphrodite to lose her mark. Now she is no longer a vampyre, although only Zoey and Stevie Rae know. But she is still having visions.

Untamed definitely continues the darker themes that gathered steam in Chosen. After Aphrodite shares her visions that show Zoey dying and Zoey is attacked in the night by unseen forces, the group moves forward in trying to discover what Neferet is planning and how the red fledglings will fit into it. The arrival of High Priestess Shakinah brings Zoey some sense of comfort because Neferet has someone to answer to, but soon things become even more tense with the death of yet another fledgling and the arrival of Erik as a teacher at the House of Night. When Zoey's Grandma becomes a target of the darkness, Zoey brings her to stay at the House of Night as both a help and a comfort.


This book was an extremely quick read and I am pleased to say was deeper and grittier than the last three books. Zoey has finally drawn a line and is gathering her protectors/loved ones/vampyres to her like moths to flames. This is a definite addition to the series.

My Review

My daughter talked me into reading this series, and once I started, I was not able to stop. I just HAD to know what happened next, and it was a bit of a wait between each book.

Zoey is a strong lead character, it did take me some time to warm up to her, but i did. I really thought it was a good start to a series.
I recommend this book and series if you like the paranormal vampire type books. It has suspense and twist and turns around every corner.
A totally awesome new take on vampires, like we have not seen before.

Give it a try. You wont be sorry.

My Review:

I really enjoyed this look into Dragon's head. It was nice to read. A great book to expand on our knowledge of the characters of House Of Night.

Worth reading, it really is.

Zoey Redbird is the most powerful vampyre fledgling the House of Night has ever seen.
She has been touched by Nyx(The Goddess of Night.) It's clear by Zoey's accelerated rate of change and ever growing abilities that she is meant for something profound. She has lots to deal with. Zoey even took over the leadership of the Dark Sisters and Sons, and is determined to change the school organization from and elitist clique to a group with more meaning, values and substance. She is starting to get more comfortable in her skin and things are getting a little easier to deal with. But trouble is just around the corner. Zoey’s strength is about to be tested, yet again. In new, and very terrible ways. She had to learn to deal with soul deep sadness, deal with betrayal that cuts to the bone, and try to keep a promise that may be impossible to do.

Yes, Zoey has some problems with people of “faith” (but the ones in here are more like a cult to me) but you need to realize, this is a STORY, where the situations are vastly different than our world, so people who knock this series because of that, and think because she refer’s to her stepdad as step loser, and he is a loser, that their teen should not read it, need to realize, it’s a BOOK. Teens are not dumb, they know the difference, and to me, this is being a typical teen. It really is. I see bad reviews about people thinking Zoey is acting like a slut, well, she is a 16 year old girl, with LOTS of stuff going on in her world. Yes, she makes bad decisions, BUT she learns from them. She also cares so much for her human boyfriend, Heath, even though she is told to stay away from him, and she cares for Erik too, and is very honest with him. I give her credit for that. Then of course she has all that other stuff to deal with on top of it.

I highly recommend this book, its different than your usual vampire books, has a fresh new twist on it. My daughter who was 17 when she read the first few in series, loved it, and couldn’t wait to get the rest of them, but had to wait. She is older now, and still loves them, as do I.
Give it a chance, they are fun, suspenseful, and easy to read.
Be sure to read Marked first, then this one.
