The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!
When did you start Blogging?
I started
about 3 months ago actually.
What is your favorite part of
blogging?
I love
being able to discuss books with other book lovers like me. No one in my home
life likes to read like I do. Except my daughter, but now she reads less since
she got older and has a boyfriend. (she is 19, so too cool to talk books with
mom now) also the new discoveries I have found from my fellow bloggers.
What is your favorite
book(s)?
That list
would be very long, so I will just mention my top ones, lol.
All Cassandra
Clare’s The Mortal Instruments Books, and Infernal Devices.
Jeannie
Frost’s Night Huntress Series
And a few
new books I really love are: Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Covenant series, and her
Lux series.
The list
could go on, but by looking around my blog you can see what I like for sure.
What has been the best thing that
has happened to you because of book blogging?
Mainly some of the new friends I have met, and really appreciate
the books I get to review, as my money situation in not good, so buying books
was hard for me, I had to save what little I would get to buy books, and trade
off what I did have, for new ones. I love that I can get a book for a review,
granted many are ones I may not ever have discovered if I was not asked to
review, but have found some books I really liked and enjoyed, and am eager for
the sequels, so I think that overall is one thing I really like, is the new
discoveries.
Q. Summer Reading. What was your
favorite book that you were REQUIRED to read when you were in school?
well, this is a hard one, as I can't seem to remember any at all that I liked, seriously, I don't. Sorry to disappoint, but I did NOT like any Shakespeare and old stuff like that, I really do not like any old books, can't seem to understand their way of talking, and hate poems. So, I do not have an answer on this one. UPDATE: I seen someone post Where the Red Fern Grows, and remember, it was also a required book, and I LOVED it, and it made me cry.
How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools -- keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture at host post and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that you don't like Shakespear or anything like that. Understandable! I didn't read his works in school otherwise, I probably wouldn't have liked it if it was required.

Thanks!
Reading the classics may be more difficult than reading books in modern day lingo, but it makes you think and stretches your brain! Don't pass up on the oldies just because they are more difficult, some of them are SO worth it!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your feature! New follower via GFC.

I know what you mean! I hate that I have to concentrate on Shakespeare so much - it spoils some of the fun! Then again, I only read Much Ado About Nothing and really liked it (once I understood the story)
