Ok, I just finished this book, and am still sitting here in shock. How could it end like that? That last page ending was just wrong. I still enjoyed this book, I did find issues with Sissy’s instant relationship with Chris, from HS after 4 years of no contact, he also seemed unreal, like there is no way he would be THAT understanding, and talk like he did. BUT, after you read that last page, it all falls together and makes sense, sort of. I will say, I could not stop reading, it had me hooked, that is for sure.
This book is about a college age girl, Sissy, that has visions of people’s death, she has kept to herself, afraid to touch anyone. What I didn’t like about Sissy, is she didn’t even try to help someone she knew was going to die, or anything of the sort. I mean, sure they may have thought her crazy, but she could have gotten creative and found a way to help them, it may have helped her sanity.
I found it hard to like Sissy, she sure was selfish at times, it was all about her, and how she felt. How she treated her mom when she found out her mom has a wonderful boyfriend. She should have been happy that her mom found someone to make her happy.
This book had a Sixth Sense movie feel too it, with the scary visions, that seemed she was in touch with the dead. You will know what I mean when you read it.
Overall, if you like a suspenseful story, with a bit of paranormal (not much) and don’t mind there being NO romance at all. Only a few kisses, that’s it, and that even felt rushed to me. But then again, that all makes more sense after that last page is read.
The writing was good, a few formatting issues, but I have a PDF that had been converted to Kindle, so it came out crappy, and I can’t really judge it on that copy.
Its worth giving it a try, it’s a major page-turner, and you will not see that ending coming (it’s not a series, just FYI) For sure is not like anything else I have read. It will hook you, that is for sure!
I give it 4 ½ stars but most places I post I can’t select that, so will be a 4 at those places.
I received this complimentary copy for a book tour, and for my honest review.
Below in scroll box, is a sneak peek, (No spoilers) You can read the Preface and Chapter 1. Enjoy!
