Synopsis:
Noel Harper got a second chance at life when the government recruited her as an undercover vampire informant. Since the day they brought her back from the good-as-dead, she has wanted to prove herself worthy.

When a member of her investigative unit is murdered, Noel is paired up with a vampire hunter named Dante to spy on a suspect in Fairbanks. The problem? They’re not the only ones on stakeout. Taking down murderous vampires is one thing. Dealing with the past is another. But this time, Noel isn’t letting fear win. She’s calling in help from the other side and learns a shocking secret along the way.

(STAKEOUT is an Aurora Sky: Vampire Hunter novella told from Noel Harper’s POV. Approximately 40,000 words.)

This book was really interesting for me. Its told from the point of view of Noel, during Northern Bites (this is 2.5), so we see the other side of things and all that happened in that book, but from Noels side, who was with Dante part of that time, so that was super cool for me. I love Dante. We get to see some Fane too, and see the other side of something that happened in Northern Bites.  We learn a bit more about Dante, and a lot more about Noel. She really is a good character, and I liked her a lot .

I read this short book pretty fast and since it’s so short I can’t say a whole lot without spoiling something for you. Let’s just say, it gives you a more in depth view of Northern Bites, which I recommend you reading before this one.

I love this series and the environment it takes place in (Alaska) and can’t wait for Bad Blood, book 3 (I read the other short novella, Evil Red 2.6 and will get a review up for it as well.)

I received a copy of this book for my honest review.

I highly recommend it. If you like the paranormal world, and vampires, especially different kind of vampires, then this is for you.

Review is also at Goodreads and Amazon

  1. Great review, Michelle! I love paranormal books and this series sounds like a lot of fun and very character driven, too! I like that there's this novella so give more depth to Northern Bites and show extra glimpses and the characters.
