About the Author
Aubrie grew up watching the original Star Wars movies over and over again until she could recite and reenact every single scene in her backyard. She also loved The Goonies, Star Trek the Next Generation-favorite character was Data by far-, and Indiana Jones. But, her all time favorite movie was The Last Unicorn. She still wonders why the unicorn decided to change back to a unicorn in the end.
Aubrie wrote in her junior high yearbook that she wanted to be "A concert flutist" when she grew up. When she made that happen, she decided one career was not enough and embarked as a fantasy, sci fi author. Two careers seems to keep her busy. For now.

I love this series, its been one that hooked me in from the first book. I first was sucked into this amazing future sci-fi world in Paradise 21, which is book 1 of another series (A New Dawn #1) That series is also great, but not nessesary to read to enjoy this series. It would be better as it gives lots of the history of the relatives many generations back from the ones in this book.
Aubrie is an amazing writer, who has a great grasp of writing an entertaining series of books.
I do not like to spoil anyhing so will keep spoiler free. This is the 3rd book, and this series carries on from book 1-3, we just get a different character telling their story. If i say too much, it could have spoilers.
So I will just let you know, the world that is created is very believable, and interesting. The characters are all very well developed, and likable.
I especially liked the Alien, who is so hot, he is close to like humans, but has ever changing color of eyes, slight golden skin (i think nice tan) and dark blue hair (i think so black its blue, lol) has swirling tattoo markings on his face, makes me think of a great new tv show I watch called Star Crossed, they have the markings, but normal skin and hair.
Anyway, he is great. Thats all I should say on him.
The aracnids alien villians are horrid, scared the crap out of me, but giant spiders with metal webs and brain sacks hanging down is enough to creep anyone out, lol. We first see them in book 2, and see more in this one.
So come check out this series. Start with the first book, Colonization, then Reconnaissance , I highly recommend them all.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author for my honest review.
You can read my review for Reconnaissance , here
