Q: Activity! Hopefully warm weather for most of us is here soon…so tell us about your favorite outdoor reading spot. Or take a picture.
I don’t read outdoors actually, it’s raining here, or too much sun in the summer and burn within minutes, I am albino white, and no matter the sunblock, ( No I am not a vampire, but sure would seem like it, lol) I burn and get blisters badly. So, I avoid the sun. I also am not comfortable in the heat. I rather be in a comfy recliner in the AC. I actually like the colder weather myself. But I will say, when I was younger, before this skin problem (lost all pigmentation in my skin, it’s all over now, so I stay out of the sun, so all my skin is snow white, lol) I used to read at the lake near my house, you can see Mt. St. Helen’s at the other side, so this used to be a place I would hang out and read, back when I could get a tan, or go out on the lake in a boat. (I live in the mountains in Washington State, near this lake, Yale Lake on the Lewis River.) On the day of this photo, Mt. St. Helens was spewing some smoke, nothing came of it. There is also some clouds hanging around there, so it makes it look like more than it is, lol
The photo is taken from the grassy slope near the lake, I used to lay on it and read, and could move into the shade as I wanted too. Its from the Yale Lake, (also known as the Saddle Dam) Here is a link to my Devianart account below, that I have uploaded many photos I have taken of the area I live in, some in snow, waterfalls, the ocean too. That looks so peaceful! I can understand why you don't like the sun and hot weather with the easily burning thing, but I looooove heat and sun. Just not humidity lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! WA is a perfect place to live if you don't like heat. Sometimes, I go a little insane :-) Beautiful picture, wish I could read there!

Beautiful shot! I live in NC, and when it gets hot, it's HOT and muggy, and like you, I'm fair-skinned, so my sofa is my reading place of choice.
