The Liberator (Dante Walker #2) ~ Book Review ~

The Liberator (Dante Walker #2)
by Victoria Scott

Bad boy, meet bad girl.

Dante has a shiny new cuff wrapped around his ankle, and he doesn't like that mess one bit. His new accessory comes straight from Big Guy himself and marks the former demon as a liberator. Despite his gritty past and bad boy ways, Dante Walker has been granted a second chance.

When Dante is given his first mission as a liberator to save the soul of seventeen-year-old Aspen, he knows he’s got this. But Aspen reminds him of the rebellious life he used to live and is making it difficult to resist sinful temptations. Though Dante is committed to living clean for his girlfriend Charlie, this dude’s been a playboy for far too long…and old demons die hard.

With Charlie becoming the girl she was never able to be pre-makeover and Aspen showing him how delicious it feels to embrace his inner beast, Dante will have to go somewhere he never thought he’d return to in order to accomplish the impossible: save the girl he’s been assigned to, and keep the girl he loves.

I Absolutely loved this book. I wasn’t sure at the start if I would or not, but I did. I actually like Dante’s personality better in this book than his selfness he showed in the first part of book one, The Collector.

I like the new addition of Aspen, a bad girl who could be his sister, lol. She is a kick ass girl, and her fighting skills could put Jason Bourne to shame (ok, if you don’t know who that is, where have you been? Character from a movie Bourne Identity, and many more after that) She is so brave too, what she does just shocks me, and man I was so bummed.

I really like Aspen, actually I instantly liked her, where Charlie from the first book took me awhile to warm up to. Great new character to keep this really interesting. Even liked Lincoln too.

I was so thrilled with a return of a certain character from book one, yay. But I will not say who, you need to read it to find out.

Overall, great continuation of this amazing series. If you had not started it yet, go get the first book, The Collector, then read this one. You will get hooked.

I love my paranormal book, and love how this one has a bit of a different paranormal world for us.

I highly recommend this book, and series as a whole. I can’t wait for book 3, The Warrior, so far away, I need to know what happens, now!

5 out of 5 giant stars. Going on my favorites list for this year for sure.

I was provided a copy of this book from the author for my honest review. I have an ARC copy, so didn’t judge on any errors and the poor formatting my conversion did. Anything I seen was for sure a format problem, and would not be in the finished book.

  1. Great review. I really liked this one to. I was so afraid Dante was going to piss me off and there was going to be a love triangle, so I was so pleased with the way Victoria Scott wrote this.
