Book Boyfriend of the Week #10

This is a meme created by Reading and Things for bloggers to talk about their book boyfriends and tease the readers with things they've said.

Want to participate?

Then all you have to do is:

1) Pick a book boyfriend, it can be from the book your currently reading or from one you've already read.

2) Write what kind of boyfriend he is, and if you want, say why you think that.

3) Pick a quote from his book, long or short, that proves he is the kind of boyfriend you said he is.

4) Make sure the quote, and the explanation DO NOT give away anything from the book (we want all of the twists and plot surprises to remain surprises).

5) Share it! And shout it out using the #Reading and Things.

Note: Sorry to be late posting, been pretty busy, and power outages here got me behind on lots of things.

My Book Boyfriend this week is Wren, who can resist a hot archangel? He is so sweet, and romantic, and just everything good, but he is also stubborn as well. I hope you like my teasers.

Teaser #1

“Like I said, if I kiss you, I won’t be able to do it just once—”
She lifted herself to her toes and pressed her lips to his. He didn’t turn away from her this time, though a moment passed before he leaned into her.
The chemistry, the conversation, none of it prepared her for the intensity Wren gave her as he stroked her lips with his and deepened the kiss. The fresh-air scent of him surrounded her as he reached his wings forward, enclosing her in a curtain of feathers. He ran his hands slowly down her back and she leaned deeper into the embrace. But all too soon, he lifted his hands to her face and held her still as he leaned away.
“Oh, Gin…if only…” He shut his eyes, folded his wings, and turned away.

Teaser #2

Her diamond blue eyes held his gaze, and she squeezed his hands, a silent support that meant more than any words. He leaned in and murmured, “Staring into your eyes is akin to flying on a cloudless day. I could get lost in their blue depths.”
“Nothing wrong with that.” She tilted her head back and kissed him.
Minutes later, after he’d managed to keep his hands off her long enough to get fully dressed, he picked her up and took to the sky.

About this book is below. I really loved it, and book 2 is great so far as well, a different world, where archangels live on Earth and are hunted by humans for their feathers. And where Demons are their guardians, certainly different, and not like anything I have read before. Got to love Wren.

Out in Blue (Return to Sanctuary #1)
by Sarah Gilman

In a violent world where fallen archangels are hunted for their valuable plumage, Wren knows one thing for certain: the human woman who saved him from a poacher attack will die if she stays with him. The demon responsible for his parents’ gruesome deaths two decades ago pines for the chance to rip apart any woman who stands under Wren’s wing.

Wren doesn’t expect Ginger to stay by his side once she discovers his ability to drain life with a mere touch, yet she lingers. When an unusual talent of her own reveals the location of Wren’s father, Wren’s isolated world implodes. With the help of the demon protectors he’s sworn never to trust again, Wren risks everything to rescue his father, confront the demon who stalks his and Ginger’s every step, and claim his eternity with the most courageous woman he’s ever known.
