BLURB:
Frustrated with her father’s demand she find a mate, Tawny does, but it’s not one that will receive her family’s blessing. Plus, her new love has no memory of his past…even his name.
Discovering an unconscious man who may be vampire, in the neighbor’s yard leads werewolf Tawny Howls down a love path that’s not going to make her father happy. She senses this man is different, but that doesn’t stop her attraction. Werewolves and vampires are traditional enemies, and it doesn’t help when he remembers nothing about his prior life.

Awakening to find a beautiful woman hovering over him, he remembers nothing of his past life. When Tawny decides to call him David, he’s fine with the name and the attention he receives from his nurse. But why does the scent of the prey she hunts excite him more than the food she cooks?

Can the strong attraction between a shifter and a vampire overcome years of distrust for each other’s species? Will the discovery of his true identity ensnare them in a battle that endangers their lives, in an effort to save mankind from Demon rule?

My Review

** For mature adults only, has violent and mature sexual situations in it.**
(This is the 4th book in this series.)

I loved this book, in some ways more than the previous, but only for the reason we just added some more great characters to the cast so far. As all of them, we still have Dovey , Aaron, Daniel, BJ, Jonas and Arie, and the kids, and more returning characters I love. We briefly meet Tawney at the very end of Dead Hunter, and this book is about her finding a naked man in the field near BJ’s land in the mountains. She is a werewolf, and can sense he is not human, but beyond that has no clue what supernatural he is. He is unconscious and has a bad bullet wound on his head. So she carries him to BJ’s empty house, and nurses him to health. When this man wakes up, he has no memory of who or what he is.

This one I really liked a lot, as I find stories with memory loss quite interesting. It reminded me of the Bourne Identity movie and book. The memory loss part that is. I found it interesting when his thoughts went to blood, then he was appalled at himself, and kept checking his teeth for fangs. It was quite funny.

I liked the relationship that develops with Tawny and David (its what they decide to call him) and I thought it interesting how he gets “healed” will not say what, as it’s a spoiler. I want to keep this as spoiler free as I can.
We have a war of evil vs good here, well, got that in the others, but this is a bigger one brewing. We find our cast from the other books right in the thick of it.

This book, just like the others, is refreshing, has its action and adults only sexual situations. And we have the fun humor.
I really have enjoyed this series so far, as I had said before the True Blood fans will like this series I think, as well as others that like a big mix of supernaturals in the modern world.

I highly recommend it.

5 out of 5 stars for me.

I received this book for my honest review for the book tour.
